SCY Level 2: Learn to Teach Yoga
Develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a competent and compassionate yoga teacher.
Our Learn to Teach Yoga programme is designed to help you transition from practitioner to teacher through a structured combination of teaching theory, guided practice, and real-world teaching experience. Rather than simply learning how to demonstrate techniques, you'll develop the ability to understand your students, design meaningful classes, teach with confidence, and create transformative learning experiences.
Comprehensive Teaching Methodology
Learn to understand students, assess individual needs, design purposeful sequences, structure engaging classes, communicate effectively, and adapt practices with confidence, clarity, and safety.
Guided Practicum
Teaching is learned through teaching. Throughout the program, you will practice teaching, conduct ive teaching sessions, and receive personalised and peer feedbacks, gradually building the experience and confidence to lead classes independently.
Professional Development
Beyond teaching techniques, you'll cultivate the qualities of an exceptional teacher through training in communication, ethics, holding space, and professional conduct, preparing you for a meaningful and sustainable teaching journey.

Module 1: Teaching Asanas
Teaching asanas is more than demonstrating techniques—it is the art of guiding transformation. Module 3: Teaching Meditation
In this module, you will continue to deepen your understanding of meditation and specifically Yoga-nidra and Tratak. You will also learn to conduct a Yoga-nidra session by assessing the participant's background and readiness, and accordingly create a safe and supportive meditation class.

Module 4: Anatomy & Biomechanics
A skilled yoga teacher understands not only the practice, but also the body that is practising. At Skanda, you'll develop a basic understanding of anatomy and biomechanics, enabling you to teach with greater safety, confidence, and precision while adapting practices to accommodate different bodies, abilities, and movement patterns.

Module 5: Professional Development & Ethics
Teachers are defined not only by what they teach, but by how they teach. At Skanda, you'll explore the ethics, responsibilities, and professional skills of a yoga teacher while cultivating effective communication, authenticity, leadership, and lifelong learning—helping you build a sustainable and meaningful teaching practice.
Supplemental Modules
Module 6: Kirtan, Mantra & Sound Healing
In this level, we continue to heal through the power of sound, music, and devotion. We explore Mantra chanting as a tool for concentration and healing. The practical sessions will open your heart, foster connection, joy, gratitude, and awaken a deeper sense of presence beyond the thinking mind.
Module 7: Introduction to Ayurvedic Cooking
We continue to learn the foundations of Ayurvedic cooking, and explore new recipes for preparing balanced, wholesome meals that support health, vitality, and your yoga practice.
